Collages

Each collage is mounted on 270gsm card, (152mm x 102mm in size), and framed. Our small frames, (which measure at least 195mm x 130mm, according to the colour chosen), each have a prop so that they can be free standing or hung. There's currently a choice of alder, black or dark wood. The light wood 2 aperture wooden frames are approximately 395mm x 180mm x 24mm. The 3-panel collages are in natural light wood, dark wood or in cream or white painted frames measuring approx. 240mm x 440mm x 24mm and are for wall-hanging only. The exact size, design and colour of the frame might vary slightly from those shown in the gallery, but we endeavour to offer a reasonable choice.

The nice thing about hand crafted items is the variety. The genuine Harris Tweeds, papers and other materials used in our collages might vary slightly from those shown, since our range is constantly evolving as we refine ideas and take advantage of newly discovered materials, but the quality is as consistent as we can make it. Since each Tweedmatters picture is designed and handmade in the Highlands of Scotland, yours will be unique. Each collage is signed.

Greetings Cards

Each greetings card is 145mm x 104mm, comes with an envelope and is protected by a cellophane wrap. We use recycled card and the cards are all blank inside.

The cards range from simple heart and floral designs where the colours of the tweeds, papers and flowers speak for themselves, to the more pictorial designs, emphasising texture and detail, to evoke experiences of the Scottish Highlands.

The cards are decorated with a variety of materials, including authentic Harris Tweed, real pressed flowers and our own hand-made papers. These are our designs and we do not use mass-produced card toppers designed by other people. The tweeds, papers and other materials might vary slightly from those shown here, but the quality is as consistent as we can make it. Tweedmatters cards are designed and hand made in the Highlands of Scotland and each of your purchases will be unique.

Other items

From time to time, we might also have other items for sale, (at events which we attend or on this website), such as place-mats, coasters, bookmarks and pincushions. Unless clearly stated, these are also made from Harris Tweed.
